Xiangchao Gan received the BA degree from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, the MEng from Xi’an Jiaotong University and the PhD degree from the City University of Hong Kong. He was a postdoc in the Department of Computer Science, King’s College London from 2007 to 2009. He served as a statistical geneticist in the Wellcome Trust Center for Human genetics, Oxford University from 2009 to 2013. He was a group leader in Max-Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Cologne, Germany from 2013 to 2020. He is currently a professor in Nanjing Agricultural University, China.
